How to display who is online at bottom of page

Can someone tell me how to do this? I want to show the same stats as on this forum: Who is online, who was online in last 12 hours etc.

i do not understand what you mean.
It does not show who is online on the index page. i want to activate it but i do not know how.

Display>homepage>generalities>
Display list of connected members during last 24* hours :
set *hr to what you want

Display>homepage>structure and hierarchy>
Display viewonline information box on index : always/ root index only / never
choose which one you want

Can you also tell me how i can create a box at the top that displays the latest posts. I also want it to roll down like yours.
