Forum change back to old forum address and new forum address doesn''t work

So I changed my address yesterday morning, worked fine all night and suddenly I came on to check my forum and it just said

The forum forgottenstory.omgforum.net doesn't exist.

Verify the internet address you typed : forgottenstory.omgforum.net,
and try again if there is a mistake.

It is possible that the administrator has chosen to delete it.


Then I re-type in my OLD forum address which is maniams.omgforum.net and it worked.

How come this is happening?

it must have not of worked right yesterday. try changeing it again and be sure to hit save.

well wait a minute. your saying it's going to your new one.well thats ware you want it to go if you changed it.

and Tevest J said his is going to his old one? i do not not know how he made out yet?
as far as yours? do you want it to go to the new one or the old one? just change it to the one you want and try it again. there's no reason this should be happening?i have changed my forum link for a lot of my forums many times and they always worked right away for me.

but I'm not saying that it is not working. strange things happen? I'm just sugesting to try it again.

Just some thoughts

1. What is your forumotion address?
2. Have you not renewed your domain name after one year?
3. Has the forum been inactive for more than 3 months?
4. If it's just an new domain name, then it might take time to be set up
5. If it is an established domain bought with forumotion credits and
less than one year old then PM TYPLO to find out where it went.
6. It might be of line temporarily whilst it is being backed up

7.Try the forumotion utils with your account details see if that works
