Solved HTML Pages question

Post by Ryuzaki - The (L)egend June 3rd 2009, 11:16 pm

Hey everyone!

My English isn't that good so I hope you understand my question. Once I create a new html page, the link's automatically set to "http://forumlink/html-h1.htm". Is there anyway I can change that link through the admin panel?

I'm sorry if it's something obvious or it's been answered before, I'm still a bit new to these things :/

Thank you in advance HTML Pages question Oops

Solved Re: HTML Pages question

Post by Ryuzaki - The (L)egend June 4th 2009, 6:57 pm

Well, I plan on making lots of pages which is why I asked if it is something that can be changed or not. I'd like the link to be something relevant to the page, for example if I want to make a page that contains the biography of someone, I'd like it to be like, "http://forumlink/biography.htm" etc, etc.

Is it possible for me to do that through the panel or not? 'Cause I don't want to cause trouble or anything like that, I just wanted to know if it's something I can do on my own.

The H1 refers to the hierarchy (The order) to stop links getting confused when creating the pages.

You can change the title of the page which will in turn change the link slightly however the H1 is important and will ALWAYS stay on the end of that link Very Happy

I think you can, but accept h# in the link.
Example : you make a new html page http://giupdo.forum0.net/html-h34.htm .
You choose the name is flash. So, you can access the html page by this address : http://giupdo.forum0.net/flash-h34.htm Evil or Very Mad Hope you understand my idea.

Okay, I have another question if you don't mind helping me :/ I'm not sure I know how to ask this so I'm going to show you what I mean.

Whenever I visit any HTML page I've made, the browser window (I use Mozilla) only says "Mozilla Firefox" whereas in any other section of the forum(or any other website actually) there's also information about the page, i.e for this page it looks like this:

Spoiler:

Is there anyway I can get something like that for the html pages too? If so, I'd really appreciate it if you let me know about it Smile

I think you want to change the title of page. Try this code at the beginning of your html page :
Code:

<head>
<title>your page title</title></head>
If you have tag head already, just add tag <title>.... between the head tag, if not just ccopy the code. Rolling Eyes I hope it work.
