Post-Reply Box Problem When Entering Many Lines Of Text

Myself and a few other members on my forum have the problem where, when you are typing into the post-reply box and you come to the last line (right down the bottom there as you type your reply to this) it will not show the next line or following lines as you continue to type.

It just sits there jumping back up to the last in the visible text box.

You can still type but can't see what you are typing?

Any ideas?

I have never had this problem before - sounds like a glitch to me

try refreshing the page?
it seems like something is not loading right or there was a error on the page?

I've now been notic`ing it happens on a couple of diffenrent forums.
And thinking back possibly after I switched from IE7 to IE8 ???
Refreshing the page doesen't seem to do anything!

I did this a couple of weeks ago but have just done it again!
Will see if it makes any difference!

I get this same problem. Cleaed my cache, resync'd my forum and nothing seems to happen.

Happens to a few users on my forum. I even changed template (doubted it would fix the problem but was worth a shot right?)

Did you all try using just firefox?
Probably a browser issue, since the skin not able to adapt to older versions of IE.

My new forum has the same problem as well but only two members so far have noticed it. I use both IE7 and Firefox and have no issues at all. But these two ladies have the same problems as mentioned above and use IE7. I find it odd that we use the same browser yet we experience posting in such diverse ways. I can't see it being an operating software issue either. I use Vista and another member (like the other two) uses XP. She has no problems posting on XP with IE. Strange...

Ive tried all the above and still I'm having the same issues as mentioned.

Any more ideas.......anyone?

If you are running IE8 follow the guidlines Here for the Compatability View, it works a treat.

Try using Safari, I used to have the same problem with IE8 on MANY websites but then I switched and now it's fine
