Edit Text buttons missing from post reply box ?

Hi Guys

Just recently my text edit buttons are missing from the post reply or thread box, i only have the
(switch editor mode) icon now.
Browser = Firefox 11
java enabled
flash installed
Also smiles do not work either

Image link removed since it now shows an inappropriate image.

Yes, have tried Internet explorer and all works fine, but prefere to use Firefox.
Just re installed Firefox & Java no difference.
Also Firefox will not open recieved mail in hotmail..
but explorer will.

Try updating your browser?

Already running the latest version of firefox.
have done boot time virus scans and malware scans - no find problems in scan in results

I checked the newest version of Firefox is 11.0, and there is a 12 beta.

i will try 12 beta see if any fix, want to thank you both for your help in this problem.

I hope we can solve your issue. If updating Firefox does not work, you might have to use another browser until Firefox is updated with fixes.

Yeah upgraded to FF 12 Beta, no change, booooooo.

It was a cache/cookies problem, see fix below for other members who may have this problem...

(If you can open Firefox and use the menus) clear the cache: "Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> Network / Cache (Firefox 2) or Network / Offline Storage (Firefox 3 and above) -> Clear Now" and clear any other private data you don't wish to save such as cookies and download history;

Turns out my problem was totally with fiirefox browser, not my forum.

Those buttons are insertd with Javascript (weirdly) so there could have been a Firefox specific Javascript issue that was crashing hence causing your issue. Its important to check your browsers error console if the issue returns.
