it's an editor that allows you to see what it will look like while you write, i.e. it already shows the words colored instead of the tags, shows the spoiler, the quote, the smilies...

It's a personal preference. I myself prefer the non-WYSIWYG, but it's up to you in the end. You can always de-activate it if you decide it's not for you Smile
