Categories & Forums? I can't get rid of the white boxes!

I can make categories and forums, but they don't appear as every other forum I've seen. Sad

I've tried "None, Medium, & Full" None is the closest to what I need, but I need help getting rid of the white boxes; I filled them with red.

You should keep the white boxes there so you know that there is a new post.

Also, before a moderator tells you, bold is reserved for staff, so you should edit your message before you get in trouble.

The 'Medium' for Split categories on index : is the most suggested source to use. Save

Thanks kos, I'm still trying to get used to not writing in bold..
Rok, if I keep the split categories on index at medium, I still have to either move my scroll bar to see all the forums, or I have to click a bunch of times to get where I want to be.
