Problems with advanced mode and home page

Please help. I am unable to use advanced mode in my administration panel and also every time I try to customize anything the page keeps jumping back to the home page without completing what I was doing. eg: I try to add a new category and when I press save the page just jumps back to home page. What is going on?

Will it let you resynchronize your forum? Sometimes it's just kinda glitched. Resync usually works for my problems.

how do you resynch? Its been like this for the last two days.

Go into admin panel > click general > click forums > scroll down to Misc options and it is the last one

thank you for your help. It no longer jumps to home page and i can successfully update and change stuff,however, i still cannot access the advanced mode and it is activated.
