video question

Hi, sorry in advance if this question has been asked before but i cant find it anywhere.
Is there a way of posting a video to my forums from my desktop/HDD without having to upload it to youtube or dailymotion? i have tried to use Divx web player but i cannot seem to get it to work, yet i have seen other people doing it with Divx web player, and no one will explain how

oh hmm u can post any video not necessarily from youtube or dailymotion as long as u have the embed code so i guess u have to upload it i dunno if there's another way but if so i'd also like to know coz i was just testing that
