Solved How to back up my forum, and how to transfer forum to a new host?

Post by Prizm October 10th 2009, 5:37 am

Hi,

I would like to know how to back up my forum to my hard disk (not on a forummotion server). And I would also like to know how to transfer my forum threads to a new forum, should I ever need to use a different host for the forum.

suggestions?

thanks

Hmm, that's a rather authoritative response. Any other questions about servers, downtime, and forum problems outside of the Admin Panel always results in vague answers from the mods (ie "we're not sure, it will be fixed soon..."), as though they have no real communication with whoever is in charge of Forummotion.

Well, it's the truth, you cant transfer your forum, nor can you access the DB.

Generally mods have some communication, but occasionally out dated as the staff of forumotion generally don't work weekends thus we don't get any news on the weekends Wink
