Restore Problem

Ok, my friend screwed up my forum, so I need to restore it to a certain point.

I'm in the The Utilities - Backup and Restore thingy, and I selected full backup, but underneath it there is a thing that says "Restore the forum such as it was" and the dropdown box just says "To select:" and there is no dates to restore it to.

Is there a certain way to enter a date or something?

Generally, the date appears. But, right now its not appearing.

I saw that problem myself, it seems like a temporary problem. We will have to wait it out.

D*** it. I have no patience. How long do you think it will take?

I have no clue, such problems fix itself in a few hrs generally.

Alright, kinda random here but, does a full backup restore my forums and catagories back to where they were. i deleted some by accident.

Yes it does to that date. But, its not really difficult to make new forums & categories. You might lose messages & members, when you do a full backup.

I'm not making new forums because I'll have to make new stickies and posts.

I hope the restore keeps my stickies and topics.

It was due to the new servers and it should be fixed as soon as the staff at Forumotion return to the old servers.

Still not fixed =/

We haven't gone back to the old servers yet.

We don't know yet. The only people that do are the people that work at Forumotion.

Not fixed yet... been 1 week... forumotion please do something... never i had this problem in 2 years of my experience with this site

The techs are doing their up most best, but they've heaps of problems to fix.
They have problems from over 3 weeks ago to fix!
Please be patient.

2 weeks now and no change.... Still not fixed... need an update.

We changed servers to a more reliable host, our original host with new servers which are 2x more powerful.

You will be able to do a restore as soon as the servers are 100% stable

Please be very patient.

You know this puts a smile on my face but the next I check its still down then I get the stupid feeling again.

Well, the techies are doing their best, but they got hundreds of things to fix, as well as stabilizing the servers which is a very difficult thing to do in forumotion's case, as there is so much traffic.

Well i am confused if they are saying there forums are not there because of the white pages/errors or there forums are there but they are unable to do a full restore?

The forum is there but i cant restore it to a previous day because an admin of mines deleted all the forum

OK then it's most likely the restore tool is not back up yet.
I will have to ask in the office to see if there is any more information on this and when members will be able to restore once again.

For how long its been 2 weeks now.

Till the servers are working the way Forumotion wants it will work. Typlo will provide information about this when its been fixed.

So why didn't Typlo provide information when it was down? This sucks man.

He can't give us information that he doesn't get given
Typlo gives us all the information that he receives as soon as he get's it though
