Personal Avatars not showing up

On my forum, almost every had their own uploaded avatar (not from the gallery) today something happened and now the uploaded avatars are no longer there/showing up. Now when I try to upload a picture there is no browse button to upload it so I am forced to use one from the gallery for the time being. However I did manage to upload a picture through the forum's default picture uploader, get the URL and paste it in the URL bar to upload a personal avatar. After doing this I got a personal avatar however it was much larger and was not shrunk down to size like it use to do. Any idea how to fix this?

Try using an image host like http://tinypic.com/
You can re-size there too. be sure to use the Direct Link for Layouts. option

I dont have a problem uploading them and shrinking them, I am saying that it only allows me to use avatars from the gallery. I cannot browse and upload my own.

Images from an off forumotion.com site are having troubles currently.
I don't know if that's the right way to explain it or not?

The cause of this is the server's migration; ForuMotion is currently migrating forums.
