How to remove "New Topic" Button

Is there a way to remove the New Topic Button from threads.....i still want it when you go into a forum category but I don't want it to show up inside a thread because you sometimes click that button instead and make a new thread instead of a reply and it's a bit annoying.....

no if you remove that image it will remove it form both places.

So there is no way to just remove it from one place?

i tried that. i removed the first one and it took it out everywhere. then i put the first one back and removed the second one and did not see any difference. the new topic icon was still in the forum and the top of the threads.

so i am not even sure where the second one comes into play.
unless it was different on my skin. i would thing removing the second one would take it out where your talking about. but it dint do it for me.

oh wait ok the second new topic icon in your pic's management is for starting new pm's. so this means you can not take it out where you want to. sorry.

Unless it may be possible to take out in the templates.
are you using phpbb2 or punnbb. is so let me know and i will try to find it in the template and see if i can take it out that way.

It's possible using brute force in your CSS. Try this:

.buttons .i_post {display: none;}

On a phpBB3 board, this will suppress the display of the "New Topic" icon on the posts pages but keep it visible on the topics pages.

Where do you go to edit Css.....i was there a couple of minutes ago and now i cant find it
