Registration Age

I would like to know if I can change the defaault age of 13 to 16

Unfortunately, that's not possible. You can add "Additional Rules" via the admin panel (General > Rules [Under "FAQ and Rules" section]), but all users will have to submit an age that is 13 or over.

Yes you can, go to ACP > Users & Groups > Users > Users options > scroll down to Birthdays there you can change age for the users.

BlueSky, I think he's talking about the minimum age requirement implied upon registration for all forums. But I could be wrong.

Like you said you can add rules to the forum but you also can change the
Maximum user age/Minimum user age from Admin penal > Users & Groups > Users > Users options > scroll down to Birthdays there you can change age.

Anyway, to clarify for you Myrmidon, you can do what BlueSky instructed and set the minimum age. In order to make it required that be at or above that age upon registration, you can make the birthday field in your Profiles control "necessarily filled".

Admin penal > Users & Groups > Profiles > Birthday > "Necessarily filled ?" : Yes
