All images have vanished

Hello everyone,
I've been using my forum for a while, and everything was working just fine. Suddenly, with no changes made to anything, all of our smilies and user avatars have stopped displaying.
I checked in the smiliey folder, as I had previously uploaded custom ones, and wanted to see if they had some how vanished, but they are all still there. Now we see "smile" in the post where the image ought to be, and some browsers display a blue box where the user's avatar ought to be, while other browsers (firefox, for one) show nothing at all.
Any ideas/suggestions?

What do you means by "I checked in the smiliey folder" ?
This folder isn't reachable.

Does it happen to everyone ? If yes what's the adress of the forum ?

This happened a short while back due to a Server change.
Some Avatars and smilies were 'lost.

Ask your members to re-install their avatars and they will show.

If you lost our images, please re-upload them, as they were un-recoverable on the late sever upgrade.

I apologize about the inconvenience but that's the only thing you can do.

sadley i cant do that,if i had known i would have used photobucket for images,i am a bit sad as i cant replace these photos due to computer crashing and my forum looks darn empty without that was there ,just feel like closing it down and not bothering

yes would be about 2 months,i was using my own emotions on the forum,as the default ones was zzzz zzzz,really i dont have a problem using the default smileys ,its the photos i have lost in the photo storage in gallery ,it tells me there but they aint and yes about 2 months ago they vanished and yes gutted gutted gutted ,please come back my photos from cyber space ,i will go see if i can upload a small picture to the smiley gallery and report back and hey thanks for your help
