Posting and background issues

When I first moved to forumation from MSN groups I could use my html codes in posts, with now problems

Layered background codes,
now for the past month they wont post correctly, even the old ones that use to copy and paste wont post right, there is a large gap at the top of each layer

Go:
Admin index> General>Configuration(below messages and Emails)

now scroll down untill you find Enable/Allow HTML in post (or something simular)

Click: Yes

Now scroll down and click: Submit

That should do it.

I have all the settings right in the forum and in my profile, I use to have no problems with this at all, now I cannot even copy and paste ones that are posted over, and them look correct, thank you so much for any help
