General Error / Topic disappearance

I was logging in to my guild forum. and it says "408 Request Timeout". My first time happening like this. before there was no problem at all. What causes this error? And what can I do to make it better?

I just searched and got the answer. One of their server is down. And they need it fix. But my members and all the other forum people needs their members to check out the help section in all our forums. So I hope it will be better pretty soon.

Hello everyone.

As some people may have noticed, a General Error problem occurred and made this board unavailable. But this bug made many topics disappeared in almost all sections. This problem also have occurred on other boards on the same server as this one.

I contacted one of the technicians to ask for a restoration of the affected boards for post restoration as it was yesterday.

We are sorry for the disturbance occurred by this bug which couldn't be foreseen.

I have come onto my forum today and loads of posts have vanished! I have read this post but please - is there anyway to get them back or have they gone forever?
