Hi Rob, are you referring to the text under the banner?
If so,

Admin Panel > General > Configuration Site Description

And then delete whatever is there.

No.

I'm talking about the text that tell's you the name of the forum you are about to enter. Such as ' Manage the appearance of your forum' as an example.
