Admin activating users
This is my second topic about it cause I cannot find the other one to post in there.
Anyway, I set the member activation to admin but the members still can activate themselves. I don't want any exceptions, I want to activate all the users myself.
How can this be fixed so that self activation won't happen again?

Re: Admin activating users

I'll gather the names of users who have activated themselves.

Re: Admin activating users
Oh, i don't think they get pass then. Maybe in the past they did...when user activation was set to user.
They must've got the mail but did not activate it. THen later on you put the activation on admin. After which they must've activated it via mails & you saw random users registered, even when you did not activate it.
Now you would say, there are a lot of hypothesis in this. But, i do believe that there won't be such a issue as you are mentioning

Re: Admin activating users
No, I set it up quite long ago and I had a user who activated their account today or yesterday and several other ones who've done it after the set up.
I have another admin on the forum and she hasn't activated them. i 'd know anyway, since we both get emails when someone registers and it's also seen on the admin log thing, like who's done what, but neither of us recieves the emails for those members.

Ohh...I got what you meant.
I will ask the users when exactly they registered.
Cause before when the activation was users only some people would wait quite a few days for the email, so..maybe it's something to do with that.
I'll ask them.

May I remind you that double/triple posting isn't tolerated unless separated by 24 hours (Use the edit button)
I have users in my inactive users list on my forum as well. They are always up there, which means they have the email but did not open the activating link.

Ugh, I'm still getting members that can sign up by themselves. I set the sex and birthdate as necessary when signing up and the last person who signed up by itself didn't have a birthday or sex. How can this be fixed, properly like?
