Notification by mail, how does it work? Empty Notification by mail, how does it work?

Post by eracha August 17th 2007, 8:22 pm

How do I enable notification per mail whenever there is a new post in my forum. Members all have their preferences well defined, to accept notifications per mail, but still they don't get them, and won't give me peace until it's sorted out.
I might have strewed some were during the configuration.

Please for help

thanks

Always notify me of replies :
Sends an e-mail when someone replies to a topic you have posted in. This can be changed whenever you post.

You mean that?

Hi Console,

yeah that's what I mean. We have been enabling this function, but still the members don't get notified. Is there any way the Admin can set this by default. that's to let all members of a forum receive the notification for new posts?

Thanks

I am not sure if you are wrong or right, but I think there should be a way to notify members of each forum when there's a new posting. Could be my imagination is fulling me. If the function is lacking, then we could propose it for considerations during the next release.
The point one some times misses very important discussions except you visit the forum on every instance.

One decide on the function to watch a forum, but still messages get posted into it, and you get no notification.

That's just what is troubling

Cheers

This isn't something setted in the Admin Panel Wink

Profile (NavBar) => Preferences => Always notify me of replies => Yes

From there on they should have a new tab in their profiles Smile

Aside from this, they can also be wand wen a new anwer comes in a specific forum.
For this, they need to press "Start watching forum" at the bottom of the lis o threads in the forum Wink

Caihlem

P.S: Also tell them to eventually check their spam box, just in case Wink
