homepage template problems

hello,
ive been checking out web templates that i can use as a html homepage for my forum.

So my problem is, the html pages are not showing images. i add the css to it and after coding it, no images appear. Another issue i am having is there is one java file. i believe its for the navbar. anyhow, i do not how to code that into the html or upload somewhere.
