First topic message reminder :

Hello.

Seeing people speaking different languages, it motivated me to open this topic to discuss about languages.

How many languages and which ones do you speak. Yes I know, most people here speak English at different levels, but many people speak at least two languages

More, which language (s) would you like to learn or improve?

Personally, I'm not English. My mother tongue is French, but I have English family, my grandmother was British and one of my uncle got married with an English woman.

I began to learn English at age 9. In Québec, because we're surrounded by English territories, it's compulsory to begin English courses at this age. Then, playing RPG videogames helped me much improving my English and I always got nice results in English at school.

I knew that Editboard, which was only available in French one year ago, was about to get translated in foreign languages, putting English in priority, so when I discovered this board, there was still no mod, so I got a great opportunity to practice my English by moderating and helping people.

At age 17, I began collegial studies in Language Arts. In this program, I got extra English courses while I had the two compulsory ones. In the same program, I had Spanigh courses in four semesters. I would like to continue to improve my Spanish, but I still have no opportunity for it...

Finally, in the future, I would like to learn Japanese which fascinates me. I like the Japanese culture and I would like to have a trip in Japan

And you?

I can speak extremely fluent English. Also, a fair bit of French. A little of Maori and a teeny bit of Spanish.

I am fluent in the four skills in French, English and Dutch...
Then I can speak Thai almost like a native.
I have notions of Spanish as well...

But then I teach languages, so it's normal ^^

I speak English and Farsi (Iranian) extreemely fluently, I speak like French pretty fluently but not as well as English and Farsi, and I also speak some Spanish.

So I call myself tri-lingual, since its like 85%French 15%Spanish Smile
