1- can i retrive a deleted thread by a member ? and if so how ?

2- can i make it to were the members cant delete a thread if they are the original poster ?

No you can not retrieve a deleted member, that is why they say it can not be undone.

Admin Control Panel--General--Forums--Categories and Forums--[click forum title]--permissions tab--advanced--uncheck the "deletes its own messages and attachments" for members and you can also complete anything else too.

For question no.1, you can retrieve posts by using the back up system-utilities but not really intended to use if you only lost 1 post.
