Members Banned 4 no reason

Recently 3 of my members have reported that they have been randomly 'banned' for no reason .. none of my admins or myself did this .. they cannot login or even register a new account.. i looked at everything i could find ... IP adresses .. their profiles to see if they are banned .. edited their accounts ..idk wuts goin on .. can someone help? =\ .. i want my members back lol .. my site is www.madden-live.com if u need that or www.maddens-me.forumotion.com if u need that (same site).. thanks

What's the message they get while trying to login?

You have specified an incorrect or inactive username, or an invalid password.


And i tried changing their password for them and it didnt work. I tried loggin into their name on my computer on 2 different IPs and it wouldnt work. But if he Jumps on a Proxy he can get on. But cant register or login in normally. (he=one member im specifically workin with cause hes one of my 'Global Mods')[/u]

Admin panel > users and groups > users > find the user... > scroll all the way down, and check again to make sure "User is banned" or "user is inactive" is not checked.

i checked everything ... its nothin i can find

i juss made a new name for him on my IP and he coudl get on it .. but id still like to know why ppl are gettin baned for no reason

This was quite common on my site. All you have to do is edit the user's email and password. Ask them to give you a new email address and then create a password for them. After that's done, they should be able to log in easily and edit their information again.
