Solved Music Box

Post by VoyagerK April 20th 2011, 6:25 pm

I I'm planning to adda playlist to my site. I used Playlist.com to create the playlist and got the html code. It's in the portal right now. However that isn't the issue. The problem is that I ned the top, bottom, and center widget slots for something else and the playlist is too big to put on the side ones. So my question is, is there are way to shrink it down so that I can put it into a side slot? Maybe something involving the html code?

Try this version of your player in a side widget
Code:
<object width="170" height="280"> <param name="movie" value="http://www.playlistproject.net/mc/mp3player_new.swf"></param> <param name="allowscriptaccess" value="never"></param> <param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param> <param name="flashvars" value="config=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.indimusic.us%2Fext%2Fpc%2Fconfig_regular_shuffle.xml&amp;mywidth=170&amp;myheight=280&amp;playlist_url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.playlistproject.net%2Fpl.php%3Fplaylist%3D85334714%26t%3D1303315445&amp;wid=os"></param> <embed style="width:170px; visibility:visible; height:280px;" allowScriptAccess="never" src="http://www.playlistproject.net/mc/mp3player_new.swf" flashvars="config=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.indimusic.us%2Fext%2Fpc%2Fconfig_regular_shuffle.xml&amp;mywidth=170&amp;myheight=280&amp;playlist_url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.playlistproject.net%2Fpl.php%3Fplaylist%3D85334714%26t%3D1303315445&amp;wid=os" width="170" height="280" name="mp3player" wmode="transparent" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" border="0"/> </object>
All width & height settings have been edited to: width="170" height="280"

Here's something else to consider...
A popup player is the best way to avoid interrupted
music / playlist music restarting when changing pages
.
Try this popup version of your music player in a widget...
Code:
<table align="center" style="background-color:#333333;border:#505050 1px solid;padding-right:7px"><tr><td><img src="http://i53.tinypic.com/t560it.jpg" style="float: left"></td><td><a href="http://static.flashwidgetz.com/" onclick="window.open('http://www.playlistproject.net/mc/mp3player_new.swf?config=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.indimusic.us%2Fext%2Fpc%2Fconfig_regular_shuffle.xml&amp;mywidth=400&amp;myheight=350&amp;playlist_url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.playlistproject.net%2Fpl.php%3Fplaylist%3D85334714%26t%3D1303315445&amp;wid=os', 'popup1','width=400,height=350,height=200,left=250,top=150'); return false"><font face="times new roman" size="2" color="cyan">Music Player</font></a></td></tr></table>

Here's how the
link will look:

Oh thanks! They both worked. I used the first one in the portal. The other one'll go on the homepage. Thanks again!
