view posts since last visit

This written me by a member today -

"Is anyone else having the problem where you click on "view posts since last visit" and no new posts are shown even though it's been more than a day since you've been on... there have to be new posts, so that's not the issue.

I've also had the problem where I view all the new posts, click on one to read it, then press back... but when I go back the new posts aren't there anymore. Help?"

If we log out, all of the 'new' images disappear. (Is that right?) I have had problems with search not showing any posts even when I put in simple key words.

Well, we have put up with it as we are becoming accustomed to this new place. But, now I am getting complaints.

Can you all give us some input on how all of this is supposed to work? Is there something wrong?

When you first log in, you will see new posts if there are some. If you log out before reading all new posts, the next time you log in the ones you missed will appear as no new posts.

P.S. I have had issues sometimes with the New Posts link, too. I always just look through the forum for new post icons.

we are getting complaints that they do not log out, but come and there are no 'new post' icons. It has happened to me many times also.

Can it be checked?
