Writting a good forum description means putting all your main meta keywords in a short description that describes your website. Usually 150-250 characters long. Now let's talk about your title which needs to contain your main keywords also. Usually 65-75 characters long.

Here is a example of a good forum description and title:

Title: Learn how to make a free forum

Description: Are you interested in creating a free forum? We will help you make a forum and also promote it! Our staff is dedicated to helping you make a free forum.

You have to make your title and description sound interesting. So when internet surfers are searching on search engines like: Google, Yahoo and Bing they will most likely click your website.

The number one thing not to do when writting a forum description and title is to have a non related description and title that has nothing to do with your forum. Search engines frown upon false advertising.
