Is there possible do make it so only logged on member can see the forum?

Yes. You can go to admin panel=>Forum=>Permissions=>Forum Permissions control. From there set your categories and topics( by clicking on them) and unselect "View the forum" for Guests. You can unselect all the options for guests so that they won't see the topic.
