Trouble Replying
Hi I have a member on my forum who cannot make new topics, reply, or get into their PM box without having to get links from another person on the board. Mods, I don't know if this is the place this should be so if it isn't feel free to move it.
She says that she has to have another member look up the thread she wants to reply to, send her the link, quote somebody, and then remove the quote coding to reply. And to post a topic this person has to have another member open up a new topic like they would create it but take the URL and send it to her so she can create a new topic. As of right now nobody else is having this problem.
What should I have her do? She's never been banned, I did change the layout of the forum but that was quite awhile ago. I don't really know what to tell her to do to fix the problem.

Re: Trouble Replying
Sounds like it could be she dose not have permissions to see them.
Do you have her in a group with the permissions for certain nav bar blocked/not to be displayed. check in your navigation options or special rights as well.
other then that. like Mario has said, ask if she can provide a screen shot.

Here are hers:
Missing Navigation Bar
No New Topic post button:
No Reply Button:
Not sure if you guys needed pictures from me on what is normal so here is just what mine looks like with the Navigation Bar placement.
It's almost like she's under guest permissions but can fool the system around it. I haven't changed any of the permissions in months so I really don't know what else to do. I just checked and she has Read-Write permissions on everything.

Re: Trouble Replying
well i see the nav bar fine on firefox,
cant see the reply or new topic without being a member,
Can you open a temp board for guest.
Ask her of she uses ABP(ad block pro) with her firefox,
If so, she may have went to block ad's and ended up blocking more then just them?
I have feeling if i can see your nav bar I will also see the new post and reply tabs as well. But you can open a temp board for guest if you like so i can check to be sure.
You can ask her to try a different browser to just to see If they appear then to..

Re: Trouble Replying
I have a forum opened now. It's the first one.
I have her working on trying a different browser. She has ABP on but we all do because the ads get obnoxious and nobody else has this problem. She's going to look at it and see if it makes any difference taking it off.
Edit: We found ABP to be the problem. Thanks for your help!
