Cannot Change Certain Menu Button

Hello. I am changing the navigation menu buttons on a new forum, and I seem not to be allowed to change the private messages button. This is what it's telling me:





However, it does already have a title, and will not allow me to edit the properties in the title bars etc anyway. All of the options and input bars are greyed out. If someone could tell me what I'm doing wrong, I would greatly appreciate it. Alternately, if an Adminly type would rather just stick the new message buttons in there for me, this would also be agreeable. Details below:
