Solved Forum On Existing Owned Domain

    Post by coolo1 April 23rd 2012, 10:31 am

I am thinking of making a forum for my Minecraft server, but I would like to host it myself. I like the Forumotion software and how easy to use it, but I have no idea if doing what I want is possible. Please help me.

    Hello,

What do you mean? Setting your forum off from the Forumotion server/getting your database? I'm sorry, that's not possible.

Ok, I meant like having a massive iframe maybe of a Forum that I have made with Forumotion, would people be able to log in? Would I be able to admin through the iframe? Or would it not work at all?

    Hello,

I'm not sure what you're asking, but do you mean putting your forum into a website as an Iframe? I don't think that's possible. Maybe this can help you:

Ok, this may explain it better. I already have a website, and I want to make a forum with Forumotion. I want to create a web page that has the forum in it, So I already have the main page and a lot of other pages, I want a page for ttys forum like domain.com/pagename.whateverextension Instead of replacing the whole site or having it totally seperate site.

    Hi, Hello

I know what you mean mate. You can create an HTML PAGE.

    This can help: https://help.forumotion.com/t35636-enabling-html

    https://help.forumotion.com/t106395-locating-and-embedding-html-to-separate-website?highlight=HTML#

To get there: ACP >> modules >> HTML page management.

Soo... Would clicking on a link in the forum i.e. a topic work and still be under my domain?
[Edit]Thanks, it works except the hight is tiny! Any workaround?
[Edit]Nvm, figured it out myself. Thankyou!
