    for the quick reply: Go to your ACP >> General >> Messages >> Configuration >> Allow quick reply: Yes >> then save !

    You can add, modify and remove widgets via:
    Admin panel >> Modules > Widgets.

    new question regarding forum widgets. is it possible to make them active on the forum index, but not for when people click individual topics?

    Use forum widgets.
    Administration Panel > Modules > Portal & Widgets > Forum Widgets

    When your topic has been solved, ensure you mark the topic solved.

    i am but i wanna figure out if there a way to make the forum widgets only appear on the forum index and not during other forum functions

    yea. right now see same widgets on index, as you would if you clicked an individual topic. i'd like to make it where not see them on the topics but still seen on forum index.
