Would it be possible to transfer founding ownership from one account to another if it is both agreed by the current founder and the wanting to be new founder?

I have read the tutorial however I thought I would ask this question...

Hi, in this case you would fall into the first scenario. If you decide to leave the forum, you must change the email on the forum and on the utlities and then you can simply give the password to the new founder.

Well that is kinda of an issue as I would quite like to keep my previous posts and become a "normal member" and keep my account as I am spending less and less time on my forums now.

Is there anyway it can be transferred?

Hi Derri,

The answer is a no, the only account that can be a founding is the current founding account. There is no way to move his privileges to another account. The only way to give the founding account is to give the details of it to someone.

If you wish to keep your posts, there's no way to transfer them. All I can suggest, which still keeps you as the founder, but you can share your account details if you wish is;
Hide the admin group with the crown, have a closed group so people will see the admins still, and do no include your username there, instead put your wanted founder in there, and your new founder into the group with the crown. Your both admins now, your no longer publicly an admin.
Your new admin, whom u want to be the founder can access the admin panel. In order to access the founding parts, they need to login with your account, so you will need to give them your password to do so.

Then, claiming ownership of the account, in case of your disappearance (By that I mean Derri's) will be difficult, but it will be based on the last several recorded IP actions, which will I believe require Leeloo to intervene.

I hope I explained this somewhat easy, it probably is still confusing, but I'm thinking it's the best I can do right now Smile

Okay thanks.

Would it be possible to share the account out with the admins on the site without appointing a direct founder or new founder/owner?

As no one feels great soul owning the forums.

There is nothing that says you can't share the founder account with your fellow admins. Smile
