Domain name renewal
Greetings to all. Hopefully you'll be able to help me with this.
My domain name expired a few weeks ago (current name: http://tokiohotel.fullsubject.com, previous name: tokiohotelgreece.com). When I visit the admin panel to renew it, I enter the previous name on the domain name field and it says it's already taken. Is there any way I can get it back? I hadn't had any problems with renewals before so this is puzzling :\
Here's a screenshot of the message I get:
Thank you in advance.

Re: Domain name renewal
Hi,
If you go to your paid URL (http://tokiohotelgreece.com/), it takes you to the GoDaddy site (since Forumotion acquires your domain name through GoDaddy). Right up top, it says the URL is pending renewal or deletion. This is why the URL is "taken."
Is there an option for Domain Name Renewal, or has the domain already expired?

Re: Domain name renewal
I'm not sure? I registered to the godaddy website and pressed the button on the top right that says "is this your domain? renew now", but when I did it just took me to the "renewal" page of my account and there's nothing there, of course. How can I tell if it's already expired? If it was, wouldn't it be available for me to update through the admin panel? I never had to go through another website before so I'm quite confused. Also, I've already added the credits to my forum so I could use them for the domain, now I suppose I can't use that money anymore if I have to do it through the godaddy website?

Re: Domain name renewal
Hello,
Your domain name expired since June 12.
Forumotion permits you to renew your domain at the latest, 10 days after its expiry, but not more.
So, now it's too late, we don't have control on it anymore.
Your domain name depends now on the ICANN and it is now on a transition period before becoming available again on public access.
You need to wait for it now, it can take 1 or 2 months.
I suggest you to try as often as possible to purchase it again via your Admin Panel, or to purchase another one that is similar to it.
Thanks

Re: Domain name renewal
Usually, it is more than enough to have 10 days after expiration, especially since Forumotion alerts you several days before the deadline

Re: Domain name renewal
That's the weirdest part, I usually got an e-mail which is why I always managed to renew it way before it expired, but now I didn't get any :\ And I was out of town for a couple of weeks so I came back and found it already gone. I just hope it won't take two whole months 'cause that's a hell of a long time!
