Usernames

Hi again,

I'm experiencing problems with some new users trying to sign up. The latsest is the third with the same problem. They get told that the username is not available or is already taken.

When I check the username list, the names they chose have NOT already been taken.

On the previous two occassions I got them to sign up with a different name and then changed it for them. However, that's not working this time.
