Portal structure (columns)

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to increase the number of columns in the portal from 3 to 4 please? I have the two side columns with the news scroller etc. and I have a news reader in the centre. I would like to add another module next to it so creating 4 columns.

As far as I know you can't add anymore columns in the portal.

No. It doesn't matter if you use phpBB 3 or 2.
