How to make profile images transparent?

So this is my forum http://frostburntfoundation.forumotion.com/ And I'm having some trouble

It seems no matter what I do, it will not allow my users to use transparent images for their profiles, if you use one it forces a black background for it.


I have used GIF. JPEG. PNG. But none seem to fix this? 

Any help?

If you want to see what I'm talking about I'm using a image that forces the background. I'm the top poster "Mushroom"

I've tried using other image hosting sites also.

If I resize the image I can get it to work. But the transparency has a crappy white outline to it if I do that.

I see your images are transparent, for example your avatar or your rank images.
Note: Only .png images can be transparent.

Can you give a certain example of untransparent image?

Try to host your png avatar somewhere else ( puu.sh for example as u already use it)

Then on your avatars tab choose :
Link to an off-site Avatar :

(Forumotion's built-in host does not handle correctly transparency)
