I don't have a question regarding how the game works. However I am curious to how this game came about? I've seen quite a lot of suggestions within the last year or so about promotional games and extra promotion but they've always been shot down.

So I'm curious as to how the idea for this game came about?

p.s I think this game is an amazing idea and I can't wait to see it in action :DThank you for bringing us this game

I don't understand this "game", so if the "theme" is "Graphics" what does that entail for the partispant, that their forum should have appealing graphics? What is the "theme" supposed to be about if any?

Guess it is (just for english forums) since here people use as a support for Forumotion. Other countries have their own support forums and it's own projects for their communities.

Well, I'd like some clarity about this theme and "graphics" because my forum right now does not represent what it usually looks like, because I have it styled with graphics for upcoming Halloween. My forum usually has an "Ocean" theme year around, with the exception of holidays I style the forum for whatever holiday is coming up. I actually can't want for Halloween to be over so I can put my ocean theme back at full capacity.

The Best Forum theme does not refer to the theme that is currently your forum's skin. It refers to, instead, the purpose and category of your forum, whether it be "graphics, computers, RPG, etc."

As such, it does not matter what your forum's current skin is, but what the purpose of your forum is and what category it belongs to.

Ok thanks for the clarification, so since my forum is a "General discussion" forum and is about no particular subject, it might be in the "Miscellaneous" category contest (if the ever have one) considering the category my forum is in the "Miscellaneous" part of the "Promotion" section of this forum.

I think have that right. So to enter this particular contest your forum must be about "Graphics", correct?

Ok, well theoretically my forum is about "Graphics" and a lot of other subjects, we even have a graphics section, we just don't single graphics out as the main subject..lol But I'll bow out of this contest..

Hello all,

Thank you for your interest to the game.
As Leah7 said, themes refer to the category of your forum. Every 15 days, the theme will change. I will announce it. That means, every forums will be able to apply for the game at least once.
Currently, the game is only running for the English support and in a couple of days also for the French Support.

The winner will be promote on our social network and on The Support Forum. So, it is a good opportunity to make discover your forum.

Don't hesitate if any questions.

Ok, I still don't get it a bit, but what about Yu-gi-oh! forums? I mean, in a sense, some of us also do graphics showcase, coding showcase and stuff, we even have show downs and since Yu-gi-oh! might get hit in the future which I'm almost sure that anyone will barely participate, can the Yu-gi-oh! forums compete in this one presenting their current graphics and with the sub topics of our forum with graphics?

As The Support forum of forumotion is multicultural, you can submit your forum even if it is not in English.

For the next 15 days, it only for forums whom theme is design. In 2 weeks, the forum theme will change (for example fashion forum, sports forum, rpg forum,...)

I think what Zyon is asking is, what are the forums are being judged on. For example, would it be the forums great graphics they have, or the nice image editing tutorials they have, or the overall layout and organization of the forums, etc?

I think people want to know (including myself) what are the forums being judged on exactly.

The theme refers to what the forum is talking about. That means, if the theme is "graphics", the forum should talk about graphics (design and all). Even if the most beautiful forum applies for the game but it is about manga, it doesn't work

We verify all forum that perfectly fit with the theme of the moment and of course ToS. We make a list and we are selecting at random..
It is the best way to be fair.

Ok, so you're interested in the forums being on topic for the "theme" they entered in for the contest, and you choose the winner at random from a condensed (best of) list. So how the forum looks (design wise) is irrelevant, you want to see discussions and conversations or even tutorials about graphics.

That's rigth for "graphics and design" theme, we are looking at the content. Of course, we appreciate a good design skin.
For example, if the next theme is "animals" the forum should talk about animals and not only has a background with animals.
