Questions related to my forum

hi All ,

i did registered to your free forum , and its the first time i do use forums ..so i liked the idea more than having any usual webpage ..so i have done approx 50% till now from my forum and categories ..but still need to prepare it ..to be like what i need ..so i have some questions related some setups so i hope you would help me with to know if its ok to continue or its not to stop so questions are :

1- can i add affiliate banner ?
2- what is the ways that i can get profit from my forum ?
3- can i setup Donate Payment in order to make some donation for my forum from the members? and how ??
4- can i setup one category and forum that can sell some product ?? and how ??
5- can you add Paypal also as a payment method ..in order to buy some credits?
6- how do i make your Forumotion icon disappear from my forum ??
7- the moderators are fully control by me ???

1: Yes, there should be a default affilate widget, or if not, you can code an affilate widget.
2: I don't know, be creative .
3. Yes, if you have a paypal account, you can create a donation button that is hooked up to your account.
5. Yes, paypal is a method you as an admin can use to purchase credits.
6. Do you mean the copyrights? If so, you can get rid of these using credits.
7. Yes, of course, why wouldn't they be .

i wonder where i can buy credit with Paypal method? cause i just see Skrill is available.
aslo about create a donation button that is hooked to my account ? can you give me the way to do it , and how ?how i can create a category with Forum and to make it for special members? and how ?

You can buy credits using paypal by going to the miscellanous area of the admin panel and hitting buy credits, you should see a paypal option there. There are total of 3 options for payment I belive, Skrill only being 1.

You can a forum 'private' by creating a group, then in the 'forum' permissions, have it so that group and above can and/or post in that forum. I would suggest being in 'Advanced mode' in both the admin panel in general and on the forum permissions screen.

Hmm that's weird, I just checked on my forum, I see paypal as an option:




May I ask what country or area you live in? Depending on that, the option may or may not be available to you in your area.

hi , i believe your right , im from Lebanon . and no Paypal available for our country . but how i can add or change this ..cause i do have account ..made from another country by a friend of mine ..and usually i use this account . and the problem i don't have another option for paying .or do anything without Paypal.

Unfornatelly, if paypal is not available in your country, then it can't be used as payment method from Lebannon or another country with restrictions or limitations on it, this is beyond Forumotion's control and unfornatelly I don't see this being changed. There is nothing you nor I can do about this, sorry .

No @SLGray , he/she wants to buy credits using paypal, however, its not available as a payment option probably due to the country he lives in (Lebannon).

Correct.  We have no control over which countries allow PayPal.  You will have to contact PayPal directly about that.

at least if its possible to attach the donation icon to special forum i would create . cause i did saw some forums created at forumotion ..and did have a donate icon ..

When I say communities, I am referring to the different language communities like English, French, German, Arabic, etc.
