Enforcing registered members to show their date of birth

do I have a way of ensuring members or new signs ups to my forum, show their date of birth so no underage persons can sign up.
Before anyone gets suspicious, this is my forum link.

It's all about gold prospecting but we are adults. Unfortunately there has been some young people sign up and parents have attacked us.

Hello Bignuggs,

If you want to force users to fill in their birth at registration you can set it here :
Administration Panel > Users & Groups > Users > Profiles > Edit Birthday

Simply tick 'yes' for 'necessarily filled' and save. Doing this will then force the field to be filled at registration.

Thankyou very much, I've just changed that setting.
But I have one more question about it, will it interfere with those who are already registered ?

No it should not. If they have filled in the field they will be fine, if they haven't however, they will be forced to fill it in the next time they update their profile settings.
