Forumotion pages Slow Connection
Topic made into and only topic. If you're having similar issues please post them here.
Hello, it seems all the forumotion pages are taking 2 or 3 minutes to connect. For example when I clicked "New Topic" just now it took about 2 or 3 minutes before it would connect. This is happening on all forumotion forums from what I can tell. Is this a known issue or is it just my connection. I'm from Florida.
This is my forum url: http://runawayhorses.alldiscussion.net/
thanks

Hi Runawayhorses.
Indeed their is some on going issues with slow loading and possible white pages that the technicians are aware of and are working to fix. I'll ask for an update on this issue.

Yes, it is happening again. Grrr. Yesterday my forum had this slow loading problem for a short while but returned to normal fairly quickly. Today I find it is affecting Forum of the Forums.
As an aside, other issues have suddenly appeared which I shall post about elsewhere. Are these due to maintenance?

I have had reports from multiple members in different areas between 20:00-11:45 hours EST, although I have not personally experienced delays. Pingdom test shows 1.32s load time from NYC, but 60.00s load time from Dallas, TX. A traceroute showed multiple time outs near the end of the test.
Thanks for any help!

My site allaboutbigbrother.net is also having load problems for me and my members.
If this is helpful at all, if I select the X- "stop loading page" the page will open immediately.

Re: Forumotion pages Slow Connection
I just renovated a forum (added a new theme and added few scripts to make it awesomer)
and the white pages loading were killing me! I thought I messed something up well, glad its not just me.
I confirm this bug. Also the text editor isn't showing, only a plain box where we can type is showing.
Good luck on fixing

Re: Forumotion pages Slow Connection
@Rhino.Freak that's a side effect of the slow loading, the editor doesn't load properly.

Thank you. Hopefully this is fixed soon as this time of year is when I get the most new sign-ups and the most interest in the site.
Re: Forumotion pages Slow Connection
Hello,
This problem is already solved since yesterday!
Currently, we have no problem of delays or page loading difficulties encountered on Forumotion.
We made several tests on complainants forums in this topic and it clearly demonstrate that:
If you have problems problem of delays or page loading difficulties on your forum, please check if your images are optimized for the web. Also check all JavaScripts possibly added on the forum.
Your problem is not really related to Forumotion! it's caused by your images hosted at PhotoBucket ...
The following images are resized in HTML or CSS. Serving scaled images could save 112.4KiB (78% reduction).
Also, remove the following redirect chain if possible:
Thank you for your understanding

Re: Forumotion pages Slow Connection
Well that can't be right, Same problem still persists for me since yesterday, at least 60 seconds to load a page, here at forumotion site, my own site and other forumotion hosted sites. Its definitely not fixed.

If it's solved why is the forumotion help site also slow loading? It was briefly solved yesterday, but is not working now

Re: Forumotion pages Slow Connection
I have 6 forums and all are fine now but that wasn't the case earlier today so I guess it was fixed this morning. Thank you
Re: Forumotion pages Slow Connection
My forum is loading fine now, I guess forummotion fixed it.
Photobucket had nothing to do with it as made example of the other people here complaining of the same issue. It was most definitely a forumotion issue.
Thanks

Glad to here everyone's no longer having this slow loading issue.
Is anyone still having any issues with slow loading before I lock this topic?

Re: Forumotion pages Slow Connection
I want to thank Derri for his timely response to this issue and overseeing it. I am glad to see he has worked up the ladder in this support forum, hes a nce and intelligent guy. He deserves it.
I also want to express its been fun getting to know some of you and discussing coding and website design. but unfortunately I won't be around much longer because of medical issues. But I wanted to express how much all of you have meant to me. My 6+ years here have been both informative and enjoyable.
God bless you all.
