Tracking IPs
I had a user join earlier just to PM me and promptly get banned. I need their IP for police reasons, as they did something serious and threatened me across a number of sites over the course of four hours.
They never posted on the forum and were not one of the last five guests. How can I get this information?
Forum in question is pandemicastaff.forumotion.com

I need this as soon as possible. I don't feel safe and would like to file a report immediately.

Re: Tracking IPs
Unfortunately if you never recorded the IP address when the member logged onto your site and they never posted I don't think we can do anything.

Unfortunately, we NEED it to trace the offender down. The messages that they somehow sent to my phone were untraceable. This forum is the only link we have.
Re: Tracking IPs
Yes Derri is 100% right there is nothing we can do about it if that member did not post a comment on your forum. If you got a post on your phone then that member must have used your Email system or you have your Email address posted some place on your forum This is the only way that member could have got your Email address.
If you got an Email from that member then you can talk to the service provider of your Email service.
