How to make user avatar display in portal page topics?

Hello friends,
i want improve my forum design. so, how to make user avatar display in our PORTAL page topics, with or without link. like facebook status style. my forum run in PunBB version. Anyone please help this solution.

i think <div class="avatarredet"> is wrong. but not sure....
