Private Message Prev/Next Button Empty Private Message Prev/Next Button

I have followed the instructions for "Next and previous buttons for private messages".

The instructions are for a text button, but I'd like to use the same image for next/prev that I'm using for my topics. How do I modify the CSS to use an image instead of text, please?
