Domain after renewal of Advanced package
I renewed my Advanced package for another year. During this time I also had my own domain linked to the forum. Now the domain redirects to the forum but it shows the default adress (https://bgmagic.bulgarianforum.net/) and not my domain (https://www.bg-magic-world.com). The admin panel says the domain is this:
However, when I click modify I get this:
I thought I had to get 1200 credits to renew the domain thing but I still don't have the option. Did I buy those credits without need? Can you tell me how to continue the old linking situation I had.

Re: Domain after renewal of Advanced package
Coucou @WizardT
the date of renewal of the domain name and the one of the package may not be the same
Maybe this is the case (it's too early for the domain name as it seems it has been renewed and it will expire on 2025-10-27)
The other scenario could be that maybe you have an external domain name linked via CNAME, and not a domain name bought via forumotion?

Yes, CNAME.Niko wrote:Coucou @WizardT

Re: Domain after renewal of Advanced package
@WizardT so it's normal that you don't find the renewal option via the administration panel, as the domain is managed by the external registrar where you bought the domain name. You don't need credits in this case because Forumotion simply "uses" the domain name to show your forum, but the domain is operated by the external service
so yes, you don't need those credits you acquired

Oh, okay then. But why does the domain lead to the default address of the forum. I want it to show my domain and not the default one, as it was before.
Re: Domain after renewal of Advanced package
If I access https://www.bg-magic-world.com I remain there, so it works as expected
I am not sure if this option is available even with CNAME domains, or if only with forumotion-purchased ones, but eventually this is the option to always redirect users from the forumotion address to the customized one:

When I access https://www.bg-magic-world.com the url bar changes to https://bgmagic.bulgarianforum.net/. It was not like this before. I only had a CNAME domain and it showed my domain only, not the forumotion default one.
Re: Domain after renewal of Advanced package
If the problem is the redirect from bg-magic-world.com to bgmagic.bulgarianforum.net – I think it is a problem of DNS cache/cookies because for me it works correctly and I remain on the customized domain
You may clear your cache/cookies and clear your DNS cache
To double-check, you may try on a different device, but I'm pretty sure it will work well as it works for me

Yes, you were right. It was because of the DNS cache.
Thank you, you were very kind and helpful!
