i have put a new theme on my forum and it has changed the language on somethings to french any help would be fab xx

Do you mean some of the icons are now in French as opposed to actual forum text ...

For example, Language has changed Topic instead of Language has changed Topic_en.

It could just be due to slight erros in the url's of images, depending which skin you're now using. Have a look in admin>styles>pictures and colors>List of the Pictures and see if there are alternative icons listed.
Perhaps also give link to your site for better idea?
