When you look at the front page all you see at the right is the date and name of the person who posted last with a button to take you to the post. How do I make it so that you see what forum the post is in?

Yes you can change this

Admin control panel
Display tab
Structure and hierarchy option

Scroll down to read:
Show the last topic titles on index :
Yes No

Title length of the last topic on index : -choose amount of letters to allow to be seen on the home page.

Save, done
