If you are talking about about not being able to activate automatic membership for people that register, i dont think myself that should cause you to panic like this, its not a big problem at all, in fact, do yourself a favour and forget it exist and go for email activation. Having your forum on automatic membership is just asking for spammers and i would 100% advice against that unless you live on your forum and can keep an eye on things 99% of the time
