Founder: Kind of a password problem, mostly an e-mail problem
A long time ago, a friend of mine decided to use my e-mail to create a forum. He did me the luxury of never writing down the password. (forum in question: click me )
Although I was able to get into the founder options and attempt to reset the forum, the farthest I could stretch back to was a point when I still could not gain access to the founder account.
From what I can gather on the outside, I am assuming that once he created the website, he used the administration panel to change the founder account's e-mail to his own instead of mine, putting it in a sort of limbo state. So, even if I were to try and use the reset password button, he can't even get in to that old e-mail anymore to help me reset the password of the founder account on the forum itself (and there isn't an option for this in the founder utilities).
I am not really concerned with accessing the contents of the forum, I actually want to delete the forum and create a new one under my e-mail so I can work on something separate.
I really appreciate any help you can offer, or if you can do me the favor of just deleting the forum and letting me go about making a new one.
Thanks, and let me know if I can provide any more information for you. If it means anything, this forum has been dead for years, so no one will miss it!

Re: Founder: Kind of a password problem, mostly an e-mail problem
Thanks for the info! I looked over the case options in order to find one that said "You have access to the founder utilities, but not the founder account on the forum" but couldn't seem to find a match.
Would you be willing to recommend a case option that I could pursue that works for the dilemma I'm experiencing? If so, I would really appreciate it! I just want to make sure whomever I message understands the case that I can't access the new e-mail that was associated with the founder account on the forum, and not the founder utilities account.
Thank you for the fast response!

You're welcome and sorry to say but since I am a moderator, I don't have the abilities to help in these type of cases. We will have to wait for one of the managers or admins to come and help you further.
