Changing Category & Forum Headers
I need to change the Category and Forum Headers on my forum, but whenever I change it in Pics management it doesn't show up. How do I do this.

You don't understand what I'm asking, I want to put an image behind the text instead of the plain block block that is there.Kinko wrote:I dont believe you can change that?

Okay, I'll use Forumotion as an example. See where the blue arrows are pointing on the image below? There is an image up there, I want to know how to put an image there.Kinko wrote:I'm sorry, Lh Justin, I'm so very confused, maybe someone else can come a help you.

Administrator control Panel => Display => Pics Management => advanced Mode => General Explore
Then, you will have to get the image you want to be behind the sections and place it under the "Background picture (Row category left) :" & "Background picture (Row category right) :", or if you just want the picture to show up on the forum, place your picture in the "Background picture (Row title) :" field.

The picture hosting site you used might be the problem...

I added that to it, hopefully that contains the answer you seek?

Re: Changing Category & Forum Headers
Okay, that one worked great, but I have one more question. Can I get this image on the left and this image on the right? If not that's okay.ankillien wrote:This code works in my forum....

Re: Changing Category & Forum Headers
Hey...
while creating theme for my forum, I thought about that, too.
But punBB doesn't have corner-top classes like phpBB3, so we can't do it.
Sorry.

Re: Changing Category & Forum Headers
You don't need corner classes to create custom corners. All you need are overlapping elements and some design ingenuity...
And if you ignore IE6/IE7 compatibility, the sky is the limit. How about a quote box with rounded corners and a drop-shadow? No need to wait two years for browsers to support CSS3.0, because everything you need to create one is here today in CSS2.1.

Re: Changing Category & Forum Headers
Click on the globe in my post profile.
There's four things on that one page alone that I've seen the "experts" here say is impossible to do. Two are in the post area, two are in the navbar. (The two in the navbar don't work with IE6, but I no longer bother with IE6 compatibility. They do work with IE7 and above.)
Think outside the box...and have fun!
(And to the forumotion techs: your newest method to protect the google ad block has broken the z-index and opacity attributes. Neither can be set properly in the CSS anymore. There are still multiple ways to remove the ads in the CSS -- I've already checked -- so PLEASE, stop this now because you've gone too far. You caught hell for playing these games with the footer block, and thankfully you removed the PHP you added there. Time to do the same with the google ad block.)

Re: Changing Category & Forum Headers
Well, I am not an expert.
I just want to know how to add multiple background images to category header. I really appreciate any help or even a hint from you
